Jordan Yarosh - From Drummer to Tour Coordinator

Biography

Jordan Yarosh was born and raised in Long Island, New York during the early 2000’s — arguably the most exciting time and place of “emo music” history. The local scene nurtured bands like Taking Back Sunday, Glassjaw, Brand New, and Envy On The Coast, which in turn influenced Jordan Yarosh’s love of music. Jordan has a long history of involvement in this music scene which has helped him become a well connected and experienced member of New York’s music industry.

Jordan began playing drums at the young age of 10; First starting in school orchestra and taking lessons at home before finding peers to start a local band their parents garages. His first band called Starter Set was formed in 2003 and would play monthly shows at a Knights of Columbus venue with bands from other schools nearby. During college, Jordan began another band with friends from high school called The Sliders. This band released an album called “City By The Sound” which is available on Spotify and they performed all over the Northeast, including Bamboozle Festival and Gramercy Theatre. What started as innocent fun with childhood friends developed into a life long passion for performing all genres of music. Innate rhythm was Jordan’s connection to music and by playing the drums in various groups over the years, Jordan grew deep connections to the local Long Island music scene.

After playing drums for 10+ years, Jordan Yarosh’s interests progressed to audio recording and mixing live music. He earned a certification in Studio Recording Technology from Nassau Community College before graduating with honors from New York University with a Bachelors Degree in Music Business. While attending NYU, Jordan Yarosh worked as an audio engineer at Highline Ballroom, an 850-capacity venue on the west side of Manhattan. It was here that Jordan made his most important connections in the industry and became proficient in live audio. Thanks to Highline Ballroom, Jordan would go on to tour with many groups including Vance Joy, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, 3OH!3, Hoodie Allen, and Cute Is What We Aim For, among others.

Jordan Yarosh traveled the world as not only an audio engineer, but a tour manager responsible for planning and advancing each show. The added experience of managing staff and finances provided Jordan with a slew of new skills that would prove vital to his career. After 5 years of living a nomadic life on the road, Jordan Yarosh retired from touring and joined Paradigm Talent Agency as a Music Settlement Coordinator in 2016. In early 2018, he was promoted to a Tour Coordinator position where he currently oversees logistics for a diverse range of A-list artists.

In his leisure time Jordan Yarosh enjoys cooking, running, snowboarding, and visiting family members across the country. He also contributes to various charitable endeavors through Paradigm and assists in the company’s By Invitation Only concert series.
